Before we start
What is Success by Design?
Microsoft's framework for Dynamics 365 implementations, developed by the FastTrack team. It defines five stages, Discover, Initiate, Implement, Prepare and Operate, with reviews and deliverables in each. Balsoft runs its projects along these stages.
What is the Business Process Catalog?
Microsoft's catalog organizes Dynamics 365 processes into six levels: end-to-end processes, process areas, business processes, scenarios, system processes and test cases. We use it to connect scope, delivery and acceptance.
What does fit to standard mean?
We demonstrate relevant standard functionality and review it with your process owners. For each requirement, we agree whether to adopt the standard, configure, integrate or extend, and record the reason and acceptance criteria.
How does the first engagement work?
An introductory discussion establishes your priorities and the next step. For detailed discovery, we agree the scope, deliverables and a fixed price before workshops begin. The resulting implementation estimate states its assumptions and exclusions.
How do you use Azure DevOps?
Process references connect scope, solution decisions, work items and acceptance tests. Your team can follow delivery by process and trace later changes back to the agreed scope.
